Best Beaches In Australia So Far!

Updated: Oct 20, 2023

We’ve been TRAVELLING AUSTRALIA now for 12 months and have seen some amazing sights and stunning beaches BUT nothing compares to the beaches in ESPERANCE and CAPE LE GRAND National Park In Western Australia. The national Park is home to 2 campsites BUT be warned they get booked out 6 months in advance (some people are lucky and grab a cancellation or no show site). Lucky Bay and Cape Le Grand are the campsites which have gained huge popularity over the last 2 years, due to their white sands and turquoise waters.

OMG!!!! Cape Le Grand is Amazing…the colour of the water is to die for. It’s well worth getting the National Parks Park Pass for the year otherwise it’s $15 per day to visit any of WA’s national parks (it’s $120 for the year). The first time, we took the long way into Cape Le Grand NP via the road but someone told us that you can enter onto the beach at Wyllie and drive alll the way along the beach to Cape Le Grand, it’s a lot quicker….We did this the next day…we can confirm it is a lot quicker. (You can drive on the beach at both Lucky Bay and Cape Le grand but you must get a vehicle permit from https://www.wa.gov.au/service/sport-and-recreation/park-and-reserve-services/buy-national-park-pass )

Finish The Song!….I Should be So Lucky, Lucky, Lucky, Lucky…….???😂🤣😂…Lucky Bay is a STUNNING cove and is VERY, VERY POPULAR, even thou you may not get a campsite, it’s an easy drive from Esperance as a day trip. We couldn’t book it in advance because we just didn’t know when we would get there.

There are many other beaches to explore in Cape Le Grand National Park, some only accessible via walking tracks.

The walk from Thistle Cove to Lucky Bay is only 4kms return but it’s so scenic. Starting at Thistle Cove we came across The Whistling Rocks, if you listen carefully you can hear the sounds of the wind and waves…..over granite boulders, around several bays you find your way to Lucky Bay. All of the bays seem to have the whitest sands and turquoise waters….you can’t go wrong…
