Camping at Teewah Beach is an amazing spot, just a stone throws away from Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. There are several places to camp at such cheap prices, we paid just over $70 for 3 nights, including 4 days vehicle permit. Teewah is part of the Cooloola Recreation Area. To get to Teewah Beach you can take the Noosa car ferry from Tewantin, $8 one way, cash only.
Once we set up camp we were able to explore the area. Driving North along the beach you hit Double Island Point, which seems to be a great area for 4W drivers to hang out. There’s a really awesome walk up to Double Island Point lighthouse.
Gaze at mesmerising ocean views from the lighthouse high on the headland, and imagine life for the early lightkeepers and their families.
